DC is fast paced as hell and is, if you wanna simplify it a fair bit, essentially Dark souls as a 2d roguelite, requiring pattern recognition, seat of your pants reaction times, and other such stuff. Genre and basic first glances are important sure but it's the smaller yet if anything more important details that are what makes games like this what they are. Don't try comparing two games they might share a genre but they are very different once you sit down and play them both.
